LOCAL TRANSFER SPLIT - BOL - SPLIT

Transfers are organised only from the Split airport and the Split city port to Bol, for participants arriving via Split. Please note that this service will be available only during the period from Wednesday, May 20th until Sunday, May 24th, 2009 (whole day).

ARRIVALS TO SPLIT

FROM SPLIT AIRPORT The Split airport is approximately 30 km from the Split port and the trip to the port usually lasts 40 minutes, however this period can vary significantly depending on traffic congestion. Conference personnel will be waiting for participants at the airport, and transfer from the airport to the city port will be provided.

FROM SPLIT COACH OR TRAIN STATION The Split coach and train station are situated in downtown Split only 100 meters from the Split port. Conference personnel will be waiting and will escort you to the gathering point in the port.

PARTICIPANTS ARRIVING DIRECTLY TO SPLIT PORT BY CAR For participants arriving with their own motor vehicles, transport by ferry will be organised from the Split port. You are advised to arrive to Split city port not later than 11.30 pm. If your expected arrival is later than 10.00 pm at the Split airport you are advised to book a night in a hotel in Split at you own expense, as transport to the Island of Brac is not available after 11.59 pm. Please note that although cars can be taken onboard ferries, the costs of participant's car transport to/from the Island of Brac will not be covered by the Conference. Please inform us if you plan to arrive to Bol with your vehicle (i.e. if you do not need bus/minibus transfer on the Island). Participants leaving their vehicles in Split will need to find their own parking space and come to the meeting point in the Split city Port.

FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS - TRANSFER FROM SPLIT TO THE ISLAND OF BRAC

Ferry transfer from the Split city port to the town of Supetar on the island of Brac or by catamaran directly to Bol (depending on dates and availability) will be organised for all participants, depending on their stated time of arrival to Split. Cost of ferry tickets will be covered by the Conference fee. However, as noted previously, transport of personal vehicles by ferry is not included in the Conference fee. There will be 2-3 dedicated bus/minibus lines organised daily from Supetar to Bol depending on the number of participants and their scheduled arrivals.

FERRY AND CATAMARAN TIME TABLE

During the whole week from Monday 18th May until Suday 24th May, there will be one daily regular catamaran line to Bol departing from Split city port at 4 pm.
Please note that catamaran is for passenger transport only (no vehicles can be transported by these means).

Ferry departure time-table to the town of Supetar (Island of Brac) from the Split city port is provided below. Ferry ride from Split to the Island of Brac takes approximately 50 minutes.

DEPARTURES FROM BOL AND SPLIT

Transfer from Bol to Split airport, coach and train station will be provided by the Organising Committee for the participants departing from Split airport, coach or train station.

IMPORTANT NOTE! Please note that if your departure on Sunday, May 24th is scheduled during the morning hours from Split airport (i.e. before 10:00am), coach station (i.e. before 8:30am) or train station (i.e. before 8:30am) you are strongly advised to take a ferry to Split the day before (i.e. on Saturday, 23rd May) and individually reserve your accommodation in a hotel in the city of Split during the night from Saturday 23rd to Sunday 24th. This is because there will be no transport available from the Island late on Saturday night or early (i.e. before 6:30am) on Sunday morning. The cost of over-night accommodation in Split for such cases is not covered by the Conference fee.
